About The Position

Hawthorn Medical Associates (HMA), a Brown University Health affiliated partner, is recruiting board-certified or eligible internal medicine physicians with an interest in primary care. HMA is the largest multi-specialty group practice in the Greater New Bedford area and believes providers should have the power to determine how they want to run their practice. With an option to become a shareholder, there are additional investment opportunities and no cap on vacation time. Most specialists are onsite, including behavioral health, dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics, OT/PT, and many more. Work side-by-side with 21 other primary care physicians while practicing independently. Opportunity to perform office-based procedures and develop subspecialties. Onsite Ambulatory Surgery Center, Diabetes Management/Dietitians, Diagnostic Imaging, Dialysis Center, OT/PT, and Pain Management. Experienced support staff with a dedicated MA and someone to handle prior authorizations. Appointment times are 15/30 minutes. Option to work with advanced practice providers. Triaged call from home only, 1:14 week, no more than 4 weekends per year.
