About The Position

Hawthorn Medical Associates (HMA), a Brown University Health affiliated partner, is recruiting board-certified or eligible family medicine physicians with an interest in primary care. HMA is the largest multi-specialty group practice in the Greater New Bedford area and believes providers should have the power to determine how they want to run their practice. With an option to become a shareholder, there are additional investment opportunities and no cap on vacation time. Most specialists are onsite, including behavioral health, dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics, OT/PT, and many more. This role offers the opportunity to work side-by-side with 21 other primary care physicians while practicing independently. There is an opportunity to perform office-based procedures and develop subspecialties. The practice includes an onsite Ambulatory Surgery Center, Diabetes Management/Dietitians, Diagnostic Imaging, Dialysis Center, OT/PT, and Pain Management. Experienced support staff includes a dedicated MA and someone to handle prior authorizations. Appointment times are 15/30 minutes. There is an option to work with advanced practice providers. Call is triaged from home only, with a 1:14 week rotation, and no more than 4 weekends per year.
