About The Position

Foundation Health Partners is actively recruiting an ambitious Nurse Practitioner to join our Outpatient Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska. The FHP Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic offers a range of services, from preventive care to diagnosing and managing chronic or complex conditions. The clinic is committed to preserving Medicare access in Interior Alaska and ensuring all patients have access to quality healthcare. As a crucial member of the team, the Nurse Practitioner will play a pivotal role in providing services to patients grappling with chronic and multisystem disorders. The role involves seamless collaboration with a dedicated care team to deliver exceptional, patient-centric care.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) by the State Board of Nursing (proof of license/certification).
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner.
• Personal DEA license or prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the state board of nursing.
• Exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications and database management.

Nice To Haves

• DNP or PhD preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years previous relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to patients grappling with chronic and multisystem disorders.

• Provide routine check-ins, follow-up visits, and acute care services.
• Consult with physicians who offer consultative services and treat complex cases.
