About The Position

Foundation Health Partners is actively recruiting an ambitious Nurse Practitioner to join our Outpatient Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic. The FHP Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic is home to an experienced team of providers who offer a range of services, from preventive care to diagnosing and managing chronic or complex conditions. We are deeply committed to preserving Medicare access in Interior Alaska and ensuring that all patients, regardless of insurance type, have access to quality healthcare. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing services to patients grappling with chronic and multisystem disorders. Collaborate seamlessly with your dedicated care team and become integral to our mission to deliver exceptional, patient-centric care. We operate under a Care Team model, meaning that APPs provide routine check-ins, follow-up visits, and acute care services and physicians offer consultative services and treat complex cases.

Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge of clinical care and patient treatment as normally obtained through the completion of master’s degree in nursing.
  • Must be approved to practice as a Nurse Pracitioner (NP) by the State Board of Nursing by proof of license/certification.
  • Requires current RN license in state of practice.
  • Must be certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner.
  • Requires personal DEA license or must have prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the state board of nursing.
  • Additional technical and professional certifications may be required based on type of nurse practitioner and scope of delineation document under medical staff services for an individual facility.
  • Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management.

Nice To Haves

  • DNP or PhD preferred.
  • Current BLS certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years previous relevant experience preferred.
