About The Position

We are seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a Locum Tenens position in Natick, MA. This is a full-time, onsite role providing clinical coverage in an inpatient setting. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for medical consultations for adult patients, covering the emergency department as needed, and performing daily inpatient rounding on a 20-bed unit. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, PAs/NPs, social workers, and office staff is expected. The coverage period is ASAP through September 1, 2026, with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

Board Certified
Licensed in MA
Experience providing medical consultations for adult patients in an inpatient setting.
Ability to cover emergency department medical consults.
Experience with daily inpatient rounding.
Proficiency in collaborating with mid-level providers, social workers, and nursing staff.
Must maintain full-time onsite coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cerner EMR system.

Responsibilities

Provide medical consultations for adult patients in an inpatient setting, treating non-behavioral health conditions such as sore throats, rashes, diabetes, and medication consults.
Cover emergency department medical consults as needed.
Perform daily inpatient rounding on a 20-bed unit.
Collaborate with mid-level providers, social workers, and nursing staff.
Maintain full-time onsite coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
