The Internal Medicine Field Medical, Director is responsible for providing cardiovascular-metabolic therapeutic/product expertise for the designated therapeutic area across a broad range of external medical stakeholders (“EMS”) segments and initiatives in Indiana and Illinois (South). This role involves planning and executing independent Medical strategy and engagement for assigned external medical stakeholders, maintaining knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and Pfizer medicines, and serving as a conduit for Medical Information and stakeholder insights. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, contribution to Medical educational content strategy, and execution of Field Medical tactics. The role also focuses on optimizing patient care through Medical communications, ensuring compliance with all policies, and educating stakeholders to enhance understanding of disease states and guideline-based care. The Field Medical role specifically includes delivering approved medical content, identifying and engaging with priority external medical stakeholders, providing information in response to unsolicited requests, leading advisory boards with oversight, and managing inbound queries. Additionally, the role supports the identification of clinical trial sites, provides Medical support for Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR), cultivates research expertise, and delivers insights on local patient organizations. The Director will also serve on cross-functional committees and represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations, acting as a mentor for onboarding and other Field Medical colleagues.
