About The Position

ezCater is seeking an Internal Communications Lead to ensure that information reaches all employees, foster connections between people and departments, and align everyone with company priorities. This role is crucial for maintaining connection within a remote-hybrid office culture for over 800 employees across 40+ states. The Internal Communications Lead will tell the ezCater story to employees, covering company priorities, product roadmaps, and culture. They will also challenge existing narratives and create an internal narrative that resonates with the team, working closely with senior leaders and having the confidence to push them towards new ways of thinking.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of communications experience, preferably leading internal communications for similar stage remote or hybrid companies.
  • Ability to translate business goals into a compelling communications strategy rooted in business, people, and culture.
  • Experience owning and achieving ambitious goals for an internal communications program.
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate them into emails, presentations, speeches, etc.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and the confidence to challenge and guide their messages and delivery.
  • Agility to pivot and thrive in an ever-changing environment, juggling competing tasks with exceptional organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other events, when applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead internal comms initiatives that keep employees informed and connected during rapid growth.
  • Manage an internal comms editorial calendar, aligning with business partners to deliver communications on ezCater’s business strategy, culture, people priorities, and change management.
  • Determine communication needs, timing, and channels (company meetings, email, Slack, events, Confluence).
  • Create innovative communication methods to inform and motivate employees by experimenting with and tracking new channels, content, and media.
  • Stay informed about all aspects of the business, build relationships across departments, and identify inspiring stories.
  • Share stories in a way that excites and engages the ezCater team across internal channels.
