About The Position

The Internal Communications Coordinator will support the day-to-day communications strategy for the Sailor Services and Voyage Travel Service (VTS) teams within Virgin Voyages. In this role, they will be responsible for creating and maintaining content for the Crew to keep people engaged, informed, and equipped to deliver exceptional service to our Sailors. This role will also support both the VTS Communications Manager and the Knowledge Lead in ensuring Crew-facing content is consistently accurate, up to date, and reflective of the latest operational and service standards.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail are a must
  • Proficient in using platforms commonly used for content management and organization (e.g. Airtable, Salesforce Knowledge, Google Suite).
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and Crew to find information and solutions.
  • Ability to use and/or learn standard software applications and in-house reservation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sailor Services, VTS, and Commercial and Innovation teams to create and publish communications that inform Crew about initiatives and need-to-know information, enabling them to provide exceptional service to our Sailors.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and refresh of Crew-facing Knowledge articles, ensuring content remains accurate, relevant, and easy to use.
  • Partner with the VTS Communications Manager and Knowledge Lead to identify content gaps and continuously improve the quality and clarity of information available to Crew.
  • Write and publish Sailor-facing communications for the team to utilize that are on-brand and factual, including talk tracks, email templates, and live chat responses.
  • Develop and maintain internal email templates to support consistent, accurate, and on-brand communication across teams.
  • Coordinate across VTS departmental teams to gather updates, validate information, and ensure alignment across all Crew communications.
  • Use available tools and platforms to verify accuracy and maintain consistency across communication channels and knowledge bases.
  • Organize content and information sharing amongst departments and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek opportunities and feedback from the Crew to enhance communication and engagement.
  • Support the Internal Communications Manager - Operations & Change Management on communications initiatives.
  • Ensure all content utilizes correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, organizational style, and tone.
  • Assist with special projects and other departmental responsibilities as assigned.
