About The Position

Internal Audit works to review what’s going on behind the scenes of all lines of business across RBC. It is the ideal work environment if you’re interested in seeing how things work, are curious about digging deep into data to discover new things and like to use your imagination to make recommendations or drive insights. By joining us for a 4-month long co-op position, you will be involved in a variety of challenging assignments, allowing you become familiar with different areas across Finance within RBC, while also strengthening the skills and knowledge you need to launch a successful career. Our students benefit from interesting work and networking opportunities, and are encouraged to collaborate on innovations.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a post-secondary education.
  • Available for a work term commencing in September 2026.
  • Interest in understanding and learning about auditing principles and techniques.
  • Ability to think critically and recommend an approach or challenge others’ opinions in a constructive manner.
  • Passion for learning and personal development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Thrives in a dynamically changing environment.
  • Strong project management skills, allowing you to multi-task, prioritize and work independently under tight timelines.
  • Team players who proactively seek out development opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Currently enrolled in a post secondary institution, with a major in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting.
  • Must be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully if not returning to school.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Prior experience in internal audit.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with data analytics software packages and data visualization tools (VBA Macros, Python, Tableau, SQL).
