About The Position

This is a 4-month internship position for Fall 2026 within the Christmas Merchandising division. The role involves supporting the delivery of merchandising activities such as executing assortment, pricing, and promotional plans. The student will gain business experience by working with the Christmas Category Business Management (CBM) team, supporting activities like line reviews, planograms, and providing administrative support. The position offers a supportive and collaborative environment focused on knowledge sharing, fostering capabilities through projects, and setting measurable goals aligned with business objectives. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze financial and marketing data, think strategically, develop resourceful solutions and turn ideas into action in order to drive sales and profit.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge.
  • Creative thinker who is observant to seek new opportunities and perceptive to abstract ideas.
  • The ability to take a collaborative approach to build strong relationships and have positive team experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and support various activities including line reviews, planograms, and ad hoc administrative/organizational support.
  • Support the line review process by overseeing the collection and accuracy of vendor quote forms.
  • Coordinate product samples for CBM teams and Retail Merchandising Analysts at Retail City.
  • Acquire product images from vendors for use in flyers, digital, and internal documents.
  • Gather market information such as consumer, competitor, and supplier information.
