About The Position

In addition, FirstHealth has received numerous accolades for its patient care and outcomes, including recognitions from Healthgrades, U.S. News & World Report, and Becker's Healthcare. 2Reid is a 12-bed intermediate care unit specializing in the care of patients with moderate to severe medical and cardiac diagnoses such as sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation/flutter and CHF. Nurses on this unit utilize a broad skill set, initiate and titrate drips that require cardiac monitoring and assist with bedside procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions.
Requirements
- Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.
- 1 year Experience in Telemetry, Intermediate Care, OR, Cath Lab or other specialty area required.
- BCLS Required.
- ACLS required.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and titrate drips that require cardiac monitoring
- Assist with bedside procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions
- Provide care for patients with moderate to severe medical and cardiac diagnoses such as sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation/flutter and CHF.
