About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)s and Registered Nurse (RN)s are needed for PRN positions with day, evening, and night shifts available. Nurses are responsible for providing daily care, addressing health needs, and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents. This includes performing restorative nursing care measures as ordered, maintaining open communication with nursing management regarding unit conditions and concerns, and explaining treatment goals to residents and families to gain feedback and cooperation. Nurses will also supervise and manage personnel on their unit, review medication systems and clinical records for proper maintenance and updates, and review daily assignments of nursing staff to ensure duties are consistent with their abilities and training. Additionally, nurses will assist and instruct unit nursing staff in special treatments and nursing care.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Possess a valid RN or LPN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.

Responsibilities

Provides for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the resident.
Assures that restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered.
Maintains open communication with nursing management regarding conditions on the nursing unit and concerns related to staff, residents and visitors.
Explains treatment goals and expectations to the resident and family, in an effort to obtain feedback and cooperation.
Supervises/manages personnel on his/her unit.
Reviews medication system and clinical records to verify that medical records are properly maintained and updated.
Reviews daily assignments of nursing staff on the unit to assure that assigned duties are consistent with ability and training.
Assists and instructs nursing staff on unit in special treatments and nursing care.
