Intern

Fortis Construction•Austin, TX

About The Position

The Fortis internship provides experience in typical project engineering activities and opportunities to shadow other roles at the jobsite. Interns are intended to act as Project Engineers on the jobsite, serving as liaisons among subcontractors, the design team, inspectors, and the project manager to support a safe, coordinated, successful construction project. Interns own specific project scopes from drawing issuance through subcontractor buyout, construction, startup, commissioning, and turnover to the owner. Fortis states that the position requires some driving and travel between company and client sites of up to 15% of the time. The job description also notes that reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform essential functions, absent undue hardship.
