About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is a nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, disability, and community-based services across North Carolina and Virginia. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated intern to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This internship offers a meaningful opportunity to learn within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team while supporting adults living with serious mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders. The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team delivers intensive, community-based services designed to help individuals achieve stability, independence, and improved quality of life. This is a hands-on learning experience that takes place in real-world community settings, not a traditional office or facility environment. Easterseals PORT Health is a trustworthy and compassionate partner, providing exceptional services in disability, mental health, and substance use to help our neighbors live their best lives. Purpose, dedication, and empathy drive our in-person and telehealth service delivery. Our 2,600-member team provides more than 10.2 million hours of meaningful support to 40,200 kids, adults, and families in 11,000 home, facility, and community locations across North Carolina and Virginia. Easterseals PORT Health is an Inclusive Culture, Different Voices, Embracing Potential, Authentic Self, and Learning and Growing (IDEAL) organization. Applicants of all abilities are encouraged to apply!
