About The Position

This unpaid internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In your time with us you will learn how to use skills acquired in school and their practical application in a professional setting to gain a better understanding of a Facility Based Crisis service provider treating patients with mental health and substance use diagnosis. Internships are designed to coincide with your school curriculum. This site is a detox center that works with adults with Mental health and substance use co occurring disorders.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Health and Human Sciences degree program.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical rotations, practicum or internship as part of the treatment team.
• Maintain clinical documentation according to program and Medicaid standards regarding service provision, assessment, and progress reports.
