About The Position

This internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in accounting and financial analysis. The intern will assist with various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, report generation, budgeting, and financial modeling. The role also involves collaborating with different teams and ensuring compliance with company policies. Familiarity with the Harrisburg area and event planning is a plus.

Requirements

College degree preferred
Experience in managing budgets
Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Acrobat, and Excel
Experience in search engine capabilities
Excellent organizational, communication, negotiating, and multitasking skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with dining, and entertainment options, and comprehensive knowledge of the Harrisburg area is preferred
Experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
Experience working with colleagues in graphic design, sales, marketing, and communications

Responsibilities

Reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist in generating, maintaining, and analyzing reports and data for monthly business unit reviews and business process improvements
Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
Assist in the preparation of the annual plan, budgeting, and forecasting
Assist in analyzing and describing variances to budget or other expectations within the associated departments
Prepare and post routine period-end journal entries
Build financial models and assemble audit support
Reconcile internal expense reports with receipts and ensure compliance with company policies
Apply customer remittances to open item invoices
Assist staff with data entry and accounting month-end closing procedures and financial reports
File and match invoices to receiving paperwork, packing slips, etc.
Interact with larger corporate teams and other business stakeholders as needed
Conduct other tasks as assigned
