About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing. The intern will learn and apply CI techniques, analyze process data, and assist in various improvement activities on the shop floor. The goal is to identify and reduce inefficiencies and waste within production processes.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a degree relevant to industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with data analysis and process observation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply basic Continuous Improvement (CI) techniques to identify process inefficiencies.
• Develop and analyze spaghetti diagrams to evaluate material and operator movement.
• Conduct visual observations of production processes to identify waste (muda) and improvement opportunities.
• Support and participate in SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) methodology activities to reduce setup and changeover times.
• Assist in the development and execution of questionnaires and operator interviews to gather process insights from the shop floor.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, RHEO implementation, and updating process documentation.
