About The Position

Under supervision, interns at Steinberg Hart rotate through a variety of projects to gain exposure to the firm’s practice areas and to all phases of projects.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a School of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or an aligned degree program.
• Basic knowledge of architectural building systems.
• Basic understanding of working-drawing arrangement and structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Desire to learn, accept direction, and be mentored.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of relevant software, including AutoCAD 2014 or later, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).

Nice To Haves

• SketchUp or Rhino modeling experience preferred.
• 3D Studio Max or Maxwell Render rendering experience preferred.
• Revit Building Information Modeling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and assemble client deliverables using CAD, Revit, SketchUp, Illustrator, and related tools.
• Generate plan layouts, elevations, and sections in collaboration with project design staff and Design Directors.
• Conduct material, code, vendor, and supplier research.
• Build physical models using tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters.
• Assist the Marketing Department with general graphics and project pursuits.
• Assist project teams with construction administration tasks and site visits.
