About The Position

The purpose of this internship is to give a college student the opportunity to experience different aspects of Capital Markets at FNB. Capital Markets teams include: Loan Syndications (including Real Estate Loan Syndications and Commercial and Industrial Loan Syndications), Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Public Finance Underwriting, and Debt Capital Markets. In the Capital Markets intern role, you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of business, finance, and economics to real world projects with the various Capital Markets groups. During this experience you will gain practical, challenging and meaningful on-the-job work experience working on the trading floor at an organization which is continuously recognized as a Top Workplace and Best Place to Work. Interns will have the opportunity at the end of the summer to interview for a full-time position with the bank’s development program following graduation.

Requirements

  • Needs to be officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Information Technology

Responsibilities

  • Shadow Derivatives and FX sales professionals on their weekly activities.
  • Help prepare pitchbooks for actual client presentations.
  • Work on various projects with the Syndications, Derivatives, Debt Capital Markets, FX, and Public Finance Underwriting teams.
  • Use the shared Bloomberg terminal for research and presentation data.
  • Assist in preparation of write-ups for various economic events and news.
  • Participate and attend FNB related events/trainings that are scheduled for all Summer Interns.

  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
