The intern will be based primarily at the front desk in a support role within our pediatric dental office, gaining exposure to both administrative and clinical operations in a professional healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to commit to the internship schedule.
  • Must be professional and have a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or office setting.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the front office team with day-to-day administrative tasks such as: making copies, printing documents, organizing paperwork, supporting general office flow as needed.
  • Support both the front desk and clinical teams with non-clinical duties including: preparing and distributing forms, assisting with dental report cards, helping ensure necessary documentation is completed and organized.
  • This role is designed as a rotating support position, allowing the intern to assist across different areas of the office while maintaining a primary focus in the administrative/front office setting, while also providing a structured introduction to the clinical and operational aspects of pediatric dentistry.
