About The Position

Slate is seeking curious, driven students for internship opportunities. Interns will gain hands-on experience building safe, reliable, and affordable vehicles in the USA. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, designers, and operators as Slate establishes a new American vehicle manufacturer. Interns will be involved in real projects supporting Slate's mission, partnering with mentors and cross-functional teams to solve problems, and gaining exposure to a fast-moving manufacturing company from concept to production. The role offers ownership of deliverables, networking opportunities within the automotive and manufacturing industry, and direct learning from leaders across various functions. Slate values initiative, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Design, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • No professional experience required—we're looking for potential, not a resume.
  • Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and figuring things out along the way.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.
  • A scrappy, get-it-done attitude.

  • Relevant coursework, projects, clubs, or prior internships are a plus.
