About The Position

The Spring 2027 internship is based in Perkins&Will’s San Francisco studio. Interns join one or more project teams and contribute to live projects under the guidance of experienced designers, working across buildings, interiors, landscapes, and city-scale plans. The role offers exposure to a multidisciplinary studio and projects that may span architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban design. Interns build digital and physical models, develop and present design ideas, and support projects through programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, renderings, and construction administration. They also produce graphics and visuals for presentations, proposals, and client interviews. No prior professional experience is required; the studio hires for curiosity and craft and provides guidance and learning opportunities. Interns are paired with a designer mentor, can participate in cross-disciplinary reviews and conversations, and have access to studio lunch-and-learns, software training, and site visits. The hourly pay listed at the time of posting is $29, commensurate with qualifications, skillset, and years of experience.
