JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION Provide therapy to clients in a school setting while maintaining good clinical judgement. This position is located at Tullahoma City Schools may be subject to change. Masters level intern to provide therapy services in a school based setting. Full time internship is a non-paid position.
Requirements
- Masters level intern to provide therapy services in a school based setting.
- Masters program in counseling, marriage/family therapy, social work, or related field of study.
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
- Minimum education level of bachelor's degree and a student in good standing currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family and group therapy as part of internship required by Master's program in counseling, marriage/family therapy, social work, or related field of study.
- Perform initial assessments, maintain treatment plans and complete all clinical documentation.
- Ability to formulate a diagnosis upon completion of intake assessment
- Complete timely clinical documentation
- Create and update treatment plans according to policy
- Provide therapy services based upon assessment of clinical needs and diagnosis
- Respond to supervisory communication including urgent care situations and other clinical needs as applicable in virtual or face to face settings
- Keep administrative and clinical supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization
- Respond to needs of clients in a timely and professional manner
- Demonstrate good clinical judgment in client care
