About The Position

Milliken & Company, a global manufacturing leader in materials science, is seeking student interns and co-ops for the 2027 calendar year to join their team in Appleton, WI. This is a competitively paid position for students in Chemical Engineering, Material Science/Engineering, Chemistry, Biology/Microbiology programs. Students will also receive a special benefits package including a housing allowance (if applicable) and paid time off. Encapsys, part of Milliken & Company, operates in the specialty chemicals industry and is a global leader in encapsulation technologies within the Fragrance and Agriculture segments. They offer students opportunities to build strong resumes through projects that match individual interests and have a high level of responsibility with strong impacts on the bottom line. Students will work on collaborative and independent projects with engineer/scientist project leaders, and each student will be assigned a mentor. Research and development is vital to Encapsys's leadership position, with ongoing investment enabling development of core competencies and business growth.

Requirements

• Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in any of the following programs: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science/Engineering, Biology / Microbiology
• Rising Juniors and Seniors preferred

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, conducting and analyzing lab experiments
• Partnering with engineers/scientists on Lab, pilot or production experimental trials
• Producing written summary reports and presentations
• Evaluating trial products
