About The Position

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure (Tucson) is seeking energetic and highly motivated engineering interns to join our team in Tucson. The ideal candidate will have a technical background / education in geotechnical, civil, geological, environmental, engineering, construction or related field. Current students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. You'll get to work side-by-side with experienced, licensed professionals who are committed to personal and professional development. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Geological Engineering or related field.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive to our project sites.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include the following: criminal/civil background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
• Organization skills
• Results oriented and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing technical reports
• Ability to work on a team or independently on less complex projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required
• Travel to and Perform field sampling or testing
• Collect and classify soil samples for geotechnical investigations
• Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
