About The Position
ExxonMobil is seeking PhD students for internship and co-op opportunities across various engineering disciplines for their 2026 season. The company aims to lead in energy innovations for a net-zero future and is looking for passionate individuals to contribute to sustainable solutions. Internships are typically 3 months during the summer, with co-op opportunities lasting 4-5 months in spring or fall. Successful interns may be offered future assignments or full-time employment.
Requirements
- PhD students with strong academic performance in core programs.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Upcoming graduation date with a Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Data Science, Petroleum Engineering or Geosciences.
- Candidates must align with ExxonMobil's core values: Integrity, Excellence, Care, Courage, and Resilience.
- Must be pursuing a PhD degree in a technical field.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience and skills working on projects that create impact.
- Participate in projects related to Mechanical Integrity, Process Engineering, Process Control, Process Development, Product Development, Project Development, Project Management, Quality Control, Modeling and Optimization, Test Method Development, Wells Engineering, Wells Operations, Safety, Environmental, Reservoir, and Supply Chain.
- Tour facilities.
- Learn from senior leaders.
- Engage with experienced professionals and other students.
- Participate in social events to network with peers, recent graduates, professionals, and senior leaders.
