Seeking Adult Psychiatrists - Inpatient Hospitalization Opportunities
About The Position
Pine Rest is seeking full-time Adult Psychiatrists to join their team in Inpatient Hospitalization and Crisis Stabilization roles. They are looking for individuals to work in various capacities, including an inpatient opportunity on a 26-bed older adult unit, and tele psychiatry opportunities at state psychiatric hospitals in Kalamazoo and Caro, Michigan. Additionally, there is an in-person outpatient practice opportunity supporting local community mental health in Kalamazoo. Pine Rest is a large, non-profit behavioral health system dedicated to providing expert care for mental health and substance use disorders, with a strong focus on innovation, research, and closing gaps in access to care. Their services are comprehensive, including urgent care, inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, assessment, residential, addiction treatment, and specialty services.
Requirements
- Full-time availability.
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Active medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain one.
- Strong interest in working with the older adult population (for the older adult unit role).
- Completion of required assessments (Personality Traits, Career Interests, Thinking Skills).

- Geriatric fellowship preferred for candidates interested in the older adult unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care in inpatient hospitalization and crisis stabilization roles.
- Work with older adult population on a dedicated unit.
- Offer tele psychiatry services at state psychiatric hospitals.
- Engage in in-person outpatient practice supporting local community mental health.
- Participate in on-the-job educational programs for various care providers.
