About The Position

Aquarion Water Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eversource. The Utility Operations Team (Southern) at Aquarion is looking for an intern! The intern in will be primarily working out of the Stamford CT office. The chosen candidate will be exposed to a vast amount of water distribution processes both in the field and in the office.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work independently, thoroughly, and safely, applying training given.
• Intern must be enrolled in an accredited college program.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiencies with office products like excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook, etc.
• Hands on experience in any background.
• A desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Working closely on computer documentation verification, drawing and tap card submissions, document filing and other office duties as needed.
• Working in the field along side our distribution and service team.
• Learning about our locating services, hydrant/valve maintenance, flushing, and leak detection responsibilities with our distribution team as well as fluid hydraulics and how water flows from different water systems.
• Learning about our meter change program, disconnections, customer dealings, and more with our service department.
