About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join their Toxicology team in Houston, TX. This is an 11-week paid internship program designed for students to gain real-world experience in laboratory services. Interns will shadow professionals, learn diagnostic workflows and instrumentation, assist with non-testing tasks, and participate in approved laboratory projects under supervision. The program aims to provide exposure to Labcorp's global business, culture, and leadership through enterprise-wide learning, leadership interactions, networking events, and professional development sessions. Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, advancing diagnostics and accelerating innovation to address health challenges.

Requirements

Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program
Interest in laboratory science
Interest in diagnostics industry
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
Support approved laboratory projects
Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
