About The Position

The Teller Intern delivers prompt, friendly and accurate service by performing basic teller transactions, and supporting branch operations while adhering to credit union policies, regulations, and confidentiality standards. The Intern learns through hands-on experience strong customer service, communication, banking operations and risk management skills while reinforcing the importance of compliance and member service. Hours for this position are up to 40-hours per week, with Monday – Saturday Flexibility. The internship is typically 8-12 weeks long and can be part-time or full-time hours, based on branch needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate service to internal and external members.
  • Deliver service that focuses on individual member needs.
  • Assist members with account inquiries and general banking questions.
  • Promote products and services by identifying member needs and referring to appropriate staff.
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with all departments and branches to promote synergy.
  • Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner and uphold the Achieva Brand Frame.
  • Conduct basic teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments accurately and in compliance with established policies, procedures and stand and federal regulations such as the BSA, and Privacy Act.
  • Balance each day’s transactions including verifying cash totals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member and financial information.
  • Learn and follow all policies, procedures and compliance guidelines while upholding all credit union ethical standards.
  • Support branch staff with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
  • Perform other essential job functions as required or assigned.
  • Be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to meet member and business demands.
