Intern Technician
About The Position
Ziegler’s internship program provides students with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing equipment while learning from senior technicians. Intern Technicians assist with troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and construction or agricultural equipment in a shop environment. They also learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to help ensure maximum value for work performed. The role is safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment drug test. Working conditions may be indoors and/or outdoors, and noise may be loud at times.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a two-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics, or a related field of study.
- Maintain good grades.
- Receive positive recommendations from instructors.
- Have a positive attitude and a desire to work as a team player.
- Own a mechanic tool set.
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test because the role is safety-sensitive.
