About The Position

The Intern, Talent Pool (Youth) supports the delivery and coordination of youth-focused programming within the Come to Work initiative in the region. This role contributes to achieving program outcomes that build skills, confidence, and readiness among youth as they transition into post-secondary education or employment. The Intern will assist in facilitating workshops, supporting participant engagement, and strengthening relationships with schools and post-secondary institutions to enhance pathways for youth. The Intern will also support program tracking, documentation, and storytelling to demonstrate impact and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in youth development, employment readiness, and post-secondary transitions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including youth, and educational institutions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products including Teams as well as Zoom
  • Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and CNIB’s mission
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program (e.g., social services, education, community development, or related field)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth is considered an asset
  • Experience in using Salesforce is considered an asset
  • Personal or professional experience with blindness is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of workshops, training sessions, and youth engagement activities focused on skill-building and employment readiness
  • Assist youth participants in developing confidence, independence, and preparedness for post-secondary education and employment pathways
  • In collaboration with the Outreach team, contribute to relationship-building efforts with secondary schools and post-secondary institutions
  • Help coordinate participant intake, engagement, and follow-up activities as required
  • Track and document program participation, outcomes, and key impact metrics
  • Support the collection of participant testimonials and program photos to highlight program success
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation to support reporting requirements
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the team
  • Participate in special events and projects as required
