About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking an intern to work directly with our Category Management, Sourcing, and Materials Management Supply Chain teams supporting Power Delivery/Distribution. The position works directly with the Distribution Supply Chain Management team, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure services and equipment reliability for the Power Delivery Distribution Business Unit. The successful candidate should be in pursuit of a relevant degree and will be exposed to sourcing of contracts, and purchase orders associated with distribution categories, such as transformers, wire and cable, consulting, construction services, solar projects, and other materials and services. The role will include in depth data analytics in support of the development of supply chain management strategies and driving overall supplier performance. Successful candidate should have a background in data analytics, data science, and supply chain management with relevant coursework to demonstrate analytical capabilities. Candidates will have the opportunity to actively participate in the development and implementation of dashboards, perform spend analysis, processing requisitions, and will interact with internal customers and subject matter experts to obtain desired results. Exposure to all levels of the business will be included as part of this full-time summer internship.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student at a 4-year college currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have a GPA 3.0
  • Must be graduating in 2029
  • Able to work on site 40 hours per week
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft office suite including Excel and Power Point, and AI (Copilot)
  • Basic understanding of negotiation principles
  • Value/cost analysis
  • Sound business judgment
  • Comprehensive analytical abilities applicable to diverse issues
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Anticipate, understand and respond to customer needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Students concentrating or majoring in Supply Chain Management and Analytics are strongly preferred.
  • GPA's of 3.0 or above strongly preferred.
  • Foundational courses in Data Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Accounting, or Economics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP preferred but not required

Responsibilities
