About The Position

Vaniam Group’s Scientific Communications team creates the evidence-based content that underpins everything we do — from medical education programs to publication planning and scientific strategy. As our Scientific Communications Intern, you’ll use AI to organize, summarize, and structure existing approved content so it can be found and reused efficiently across delivery teams. You’ll also build AI-powered tools and agents that automate repeated tasks, collaborate with content coordinators to generate key takeaways from approved materials, and help pressure test Vaniam Group’s innovative offerings. This role is ideal for someone with a scientific background who’s excited about applying technology to make rigorous content more accessible and impactful — and who wants to develop hands-on AI skills in the context of scientific communications and medical communication.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Biomedical Communications, Library Science, or a related field
  • Strong scientific literacy and comfort reading and summarizing clinical or medical content
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with large volumes of content
  • Clear, precise writing skills suited for professional and scientific audiences
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week for 10–12 weeks (June through August 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Audit and catalog existing approved scientific and client content across multiple therapeutic areas and program types
  • Use AI tools — primarily Claude and Copilot, along with additional tools as the team identifies needs — to generate structured summaries, key-message extracts, and content outlines from approved materials
  • Design and build an organized, searchable content library with consistent tagging, categorization, and reuse guidance
  • Develop content reuse guidelines that help delivery teams quickly identify relevant existing materials before creating new content
  • Test the content library with Scientific Communications and delivery team members, gather feedback, and refine the structure and search experience
  • Present the completed library, content summaries, and a sustainability plan to leadership
  • Work with content coordinators to develop AI-generated key takeaways derived from approved materials, clean transcripts, and other content assets
  • Develop Copilot agents or Claude skills to automate repeated tasks that will be distributed to the Scientific Communications team
  • Assist in pressure testing Vaniam Group’s innovative offerings such as EXPLORE, SPHERE, HORIZON, and other platforms
