We are hiring asap for Full-time intern who has the ability to stay on in a part-time capacity in the Fall. Reporting to the Manager, Retail, Rebates & Agency, this internship provides hands-on experience in accounting. The intern will help support rebate accounting activities by preparing reconciliations, assisting with month-end processes, researching variances, tracking cash receipts, and evaluation of reporting for North America.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrates integrity and professionalism
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end journal entries and rebate accounting activities
- Prepare and review account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Track and allocate rebates received during the year to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Work with Strategic Supply Managers on inventory protection programs allocating terms to locations carrying applicable inventory as well as working capital adjustments as needed
- Research and help resolve discrepancies on monthly reporting
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
