With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team in Camarillo! This is a temporary, ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical exposure to corporate finance and accounting operations. The intern will support the accounting team across a variety of day-to-day functions, with an emphasis on accounts receivable and collections support. No prior accounting experience is required — we are looking for someone eager to learn, organized, and comfortable communicating with both internal teams and external customers.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a college degree; a focus in business, finance, or a related field is helpful but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with a professional and approachable communication style.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat a plus.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with interacting and working with all levels of customers, both internal and external; good interpersonal skills, team motivation and outgoing personality
  • Excellent adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews open accounts for collection and past due invoices to reduce overall receivables. Makes outbound collection calls in a professional manner, maintaining and improving customer relations. Mails correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
  • Identifies root cause issues attributing to account delinquency and discussing with management team to improve processes and timely collection.
  • Assist the accounting team with reviewing open accounts and supporting accounts receivable and collections activities.
  • Help prepare and send routine customer correspondence regarding outstanding or past-due invoices.
  • Support outbound follow-up communications with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist in identifying and documenting account discrepancies or recurring issues, and share observations with the team to help improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and spreadsheets.
  • Perform general administrative and data-entry tasks to support the broader finance team.
  • Participate in special projects and process-improvement initiatives as assigned.
