As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking talented individuals to support our Talent Acquisition efforts and help us attract top-tier candidates across the U.S. We have an excellent opportunity for an Intern – Recruiting / Talent Acquisition Support (Summer), focused on supporting full-cycle recruiting activities and ensuring a positive and efficient candidate experience. Internship positions at Amentum provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside experienced recruiting professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and gain hands-on exposure to talent acquisition best practices. The Amentum Talent Acquisition team is looking for qualified candidates to support the Telecommunications Group in Philadelphia, PA this summer. This is a remote position but may require coming into the office on an as-needed basis. Local candidates are preferred.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in at least junior year at an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) and Microsoft Word
  • Computer savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without current or future visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Source qualified candidates using a variety of recruiting methods, including Boolean searches, job boards, social media platforms, and internal databases
  • Review and screen resumes to assess candidate qualifications and alignment with open roles
  • Conduct initial candidate prescreens via phone or video to evaluate skills, experience, and interest
  • Assist recruiters with interview scheduling and coordination with hiring managers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Track recruiting metrics and generate reports using Excel and other tools
  • Support job posting creation and distribution across multiple platforms
  • Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Assist with ad hoc recruiting and HR-related projects as needed
