About The Position

This is a remote internship opportunity within Penguin Random House's Corporate Bookmaking division, specifically on the Production Editorial and Managing Editorial team. The program offers exposure to the publishing process and business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series. The Book Making departments (Production, Managing Editorial, Production Editorial) are responsible for the in-house editorial, pre-press, and manufacturing processes of turning manuscripts into bound books after acquisition, all within the desired timeframe and budget. Interns will learn about copyediting and proofreading various materials, checking changes, assisting with freelancer communication, and attending book scheduling meetings. The departments seeking interns may include Penguin Publishing Group Production Editorial and Random House Publishing Group Managing Editorial.

Requirements

Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028
Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program
Available and commit to the program working June 7th, 2027 – August 12th, 2027
Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
Must be over the age of 18
