About The Position

This is a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity within the EDITORIAL department in the CHILDRENS divisions at Penguin Random House. Interns will be exposed to the publishing process and the business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series. The program runs for 10 weeks, with interns working 28 hours per week. The company is looking for candidates with a desire to work with books, a drive to learn, and curiosity for the publishing industry, regardless of their field of study.

Requirements

Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028
Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program
Available and commit to the program working June 7th, 2027 – August 12th, 2027
Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
Must be over the age of 18

Responsibilities

Evaluating submissions and writing reader’s reports
Assisting with copy writing, and researching comp titles
Attend virtual editorial meetings, provide insights based on your own reading and in response to editors' submissions.
