Summer 2027, Remote Internship, Editorial Adult
About The Position
This is a remote internship opportunity within the Editorial department of Penguin Random House's Adult divisions. The internship is designed to provide exposure to the publishing process and the business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series. Interns will work 28 hours per week for 10 weeks and will be paid $21/hour. The role is open to individuals who demonstrate a desire to work with books, a drive to learn, and curiosity for the publishing industry, regardless of their field of study or degree status. The internship is based in the United States and candidates should be able to work primarily on Eastern Time.
Requirements
- Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028
- Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program
- Available and commit to the program working June 7th, 2027 – August 12th, 2027
- Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
- Must be over the age of 18

Responsibilities
- Evaluating submissions and writing reader’s reports
- Assisting with copy writing, and researching comp titles
- Attend virtual editorial meetings, provide insights based on your own reading and in response to editors' submissions.
