About The Position

Ayar Labs is hiring an Intern, Photonics Design, to design devices for next-generation wavelength-division-multiplexing systems, including advanced passive and tunable optical filters. The intern will leverage the company’s mature test capabilities and pipeline of previously taped-out devices to identify promising future directions, develop optimized exploratory submissions, and support selection of devices for a future high-impact product PIC. The internship runs from May to August 2027 and is based on-site at the San Jose office. The position does not provide immigration support except for F-1 status, or relocation support. Compensation is $50–$60 per hour, depending on education level.
