About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team located in Phoenix AZ. This is an 11-week paid internship program designed for motivated students to work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience in healthcare innovation. As a Labcorp intern, you’ll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background. In addition to your project work, you’ll gain valuable exposure to Labcorp’s global business, culture, and leadership through enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure and visibility, an immersive in-person intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, continuous opportunities to connect and grow, learning resources, connection to Labcorp’s inclusive culture, and dedicated mentoring connections.

Requirements

Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program

Interest in laboratory science
Interest in diagnostics industry
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
Support approved laboratory projects
Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
