About The Position

The Capital Markets department offers an engaging internship where interns can apply their analytical skills and passion for markets at a leading investment firm. This role provides exposure to the dynamic trading floor environment, opportunities to interact with traders and portfolio managers, and access to industry tools and economic research. The experience is designed to be immersive, taking place in a friendly and open environment alongside experienced investment professionals and recent graduates. The firm emphasizes diversity of thought and a strong learning culture. The Credit team within the Fund manages internal and external allocations to Credit asset classes, focusing on adding value beyond benchmarks through global active strategies in Public, Private, Quantitative, and Structured Credit. The intern will work closely with portfolio managers on daily investment activities and longer-term research projects within a team of over 40 people.

  • Ability to multi-task, with phenomenal time management, leadership skills, and work ethic.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be enrolled in 3rd / 4th year or related Masters’ program.
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning back to your studies after the work term is completed.
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Python and SQL is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build market analytics.
  • Vet and run profit-and-loss and risk reports.
  • Engage in research and analysis for new and current investment strategies.
  • Participate in a term-length portfolio management case to develop and test investment skills.
  • Attend networking and lunch-and-learn sessions to explore the work of other groups.
