We are hiring an Intern - Industrial Design to assist and support the Studio One Eleven team in the creation and development of proprietary packaging and related product solutions, while gaining hands-on experience with professional design tools and workflows in a collaborative studio environment.

Requirements

  • In Pursuit of BS/BFA in Industrial or Product Design
  • Strong design sketching for internal collaboration and external communication of ideas
  • Solid understanding of form, style, and brand sensitivity
  • Ability to manage time and resources on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Working knowledge of Sketchbook Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks and Keyshot
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of rigid packaging solutions that align with brand, function, and manufacturability criteria.
  • Support the design process from market research and sample gathering to concept generation, control drawings, CAD modeling, and prototyping.
  • Assist with studio presentations and client-facing deliverables.
  • Standardize drawings for Berlin use
  • Explore and help implement new AI tools and workflows in the design process.
  • Support studio upkeep and organization, including the sample archive and workspace.
  • Assist with operational tasks related to the studio move, including inventory and equipment organization.
  • Positively represent Studio One Eleven and Berlin Packaging in all interactions.
  • Fulfill employee portions of the “Berlin Values”
