About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a GoldenGate Administration Intern to join our Oracle Goldengate Team located in Durham, NC! This is a 12-week paid internship program designed for motivated students to work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience. The Oracle GoldenGate team manages enterprise data replication and integration solutions that enable real-time data movement across databases and cloud platforms. The team supports business-critical systems by ensuring data availability, reliability, and performance through replication monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and operational excellence. Interns will be immersed in hands-on work that complements their academic background, gain exposure to Labcorp's global business, culture, and leadership, and participate in enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, an immersive intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, and professional development opportunities. The internship also includes connection to Labcorp's inclusive culture through employee resource groups and community initiatives, as well as dedicated mentoring.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
  • Eagerness to learn enterprise database and data integration technologies.
  • Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
  • Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Actively participates in training sessions and applies newly learned skills accordingly

Nice To Haves

  • 3-6 months experience with relational databases and SQL
  • 3-6 months experience and understanding of database concepts and data flows
  • Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.
  • Support configuration, testing, and validation of GoldenGate Extract and Replicat processes.
  • Help troubleshoot replication, latency, and data synchronization issues.
  • Participate in database administration and operational support activities.
  • Assist with documenting procedures, configurations, and best practices.
  • Support automation, monitoring, and reporting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with database administrators, engineers, and project teams on assigned tasks and projects.
