About The Position

Hilltop Securities Inc. is seeking qualified students for a Summer Intern position within its Fixed Income Capital Markets team. This role offers hands-on experience in the financial services industry, assisting with key initiatives and developing entry-level skills. Interns will gain exposure to various financial products, including corporate bonds, CDs, agencies, and treasuries, while working closely with experienced traders on the taxable fixed income trading desk. The internship is an in-person experience scheduled from May 27, 2027, to July 30, 2027, with opportunities in downtown Dallas and other branch locations nationwide. Hilltop Holdings, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a diversified financial services company comprising PlainsCapital Bank, PrimeLending, and HilltopSecurities. HilltopSecurities' Fixed Income department serves over 2,000 institutional and middle-market clients across the U.S., specializing in municipal, taxable, and securitized products. With a balance sheet of $1 billion and over 100 sales and trading professionals, the department engages in syndication, primary issuance, and various sales and trading activities.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree and qualified to participate in an internship program.
Strong interest in financial services and capital markets.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
