About The Position

This position supports the Environmental Compliance Section staff by performing technical and administrative functions related to Fats, Oil, and Grease (FOG) and Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP). This position will support activities and projects for the pretreatment program, and will be reporting to the Environmental Supervisor.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED administrator and currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Sanitary, Environmental, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the implementation of the Cooking Oil Recycling Effort (CORE) pilot program.
  • Assist with the private lift station inventory.
  • Assist with the analysis and potential expansion of the surcharge program.
  • Maintain the tracking tool for grease interceptor cleaning manifests submitted by system owners/haulers.
  • Crosstrain on support activities involving FOG and IPP personnel.
  • All other duties as assigned.
