About The Position

Join GHD as an Environmental Science Intern in our Houston, TX office, contributing to our CAR team. This role is for an individual contributor with recognized skills in Environmental Science. This position offers a variety of work within a dynamic and energetic team, operating under a hybrid work model where you will collaborate in the office three days a week.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s in environmental science or related field.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and instructions to identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding the environment and the well-being of self and others.
• Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats, working independently.
• Prepare moderately complex documents using various applications and standard office software, and gather/summarize data for reports.
• Carry out environmental impact assessments, delivering on assigned tasks for comprehensive evaluation.
• Contribute to environmental risk management, ensuring actions align with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.
• Collect straightforward samples and undertake testing as directed, in accordance with defined processes and requirements, to support regulatory compliance.
• Develop personal capabilities through assessment, development planning, training, and coaching. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education, conferences, and specialist media.
