About The Position

Crestron Electronics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern for the Endpoint Engineering role within the IT Services department, located in Rockleigh, NJ. This is a 100% On-Site position. Crestron Interns and Co-Ops will work on meaningful projects with professionals and subject matter experts, guided by a dedicated mentor. The program includes training and networking opportunities to enhance technical and non-technical skills, preparing students for future careers. The internship runs from late May/early June through mid-August, with a strong track record of leading to full-time offers. Crestron is committed to Diversity & Inclusion.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or closely related field
  • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire internship period
  • Must be commutable to and from the Rockleigh, NJ area for the duration of the internship period
  • Must have permanent, unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and endpoint hardware components.
  • Familiarity with device imaging, deployment concepts, and system configuration fundamentals.
  • Interest in endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Group Policy, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to assist with hardware setup, maintenance, and peripheral configuration.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation concepts (PowerShell preferred).
  • Understanding of asset management and endpoint lifecycle concepts.
  • Assist in troubleshooting endpoint-related hardware and software issues in a structured manner.
  • Support system administration efforts by assisting with endpoint-focused initiatives and escalations.
  • Provide positive, quality service to all users and fellow team members.
  • Support and promote Crestron policies.
  • Maintain accountability of assigned equipment and documentation tasks.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic and have a desire to produce a quality product
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening) with the ability to articulate work at different levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Inquisitive individual with a desire to learn, possessing a long-term desire to work in the Information Technology space
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project support to IT initiatives with a focus on endpoint standards, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Assist with the engineering, deployment, and maintenance of Windows-based endpoints using modern management tools and imaging processes.
  • Support endpoint configuration management, automation, and documentation efforts.
  • Utilize Service-Now for proper incident tracking, change documentation, and asset management.
  • Build and maintain technical process documentation and endpoint-related knowledgebase content.
  • Support desktop operating systems, endpoint hardware, and enterprise software configurations.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and rollout of endpoint updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Conduct research on endpoint technologies, tools, and known issues when requested.
  • Support device provisioning, refresh, and decommissioning processes.
  • Special Projects as assigned.
