Intern/Coop - Construction Management Skills Training (CMST) Program
About The Position
We are looking for college students (rising Juniors and Seniors) seeking internships for the summer of 2027 in Providence. This internship will provide advance consideration for Shawmut’s CMST program after graduation. The ability to build strong relationships is key for our Construction Operations and Field Operations internships. These roles are hands on and will work closely with our established project teams providing you a wonderful introduction to the industry and the Shawmut culture. Requirements
- A rising Junior or Senior working towards a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior.

Responsibilities
- Supporting Project Management, Estimating or Field work.
- Managing submittals and RFIs, tracking procurement and change order documentation and assisting in project close out.
- Developing estimates and budgets for clients, working with subcontractors to ensure pricing and coverage for projects, assisting in scope writing on a variety of trades and attending bid reviews with internal partners.
- Working closely with a seasoned Superintendent on a local job site, managing daily reports, assisting in monitoring and enforcing site safety protocols and coordinating punch list activities.
